Flexible All-in-One Device Boasts OLED Touchscreen






"Connext" is essentially an "all-in-one, flexible smart device that can morph its form to fit the application that it assumes।" No word yet on if this concept will go into production।


Combining OLED touch-screen technology with E-paper flexibility, this device can switch to become a mobile phone, computer, multimedia player, watch, physical avatar etc. - virtually and physically. Pressing one of the six Mode Keys instantly brings the user to the specific device function, and prevents the user from 'getting lost' in the interaction interface

World's first full-color OLED display

At 0.3mm thick, Sony's 2.5-inch display is the world's first full-color OLED display. Practical applications for this technology include: televisions, computer screens, digital audio players, and even billboards. Unlike LCDs, OLEDs do not require a backlight, which means they are ultra efficient if run off battery power. Sony has yet to set a commercial release date for these displays ;)
